February 23-25, 2018

More than just a trade fair.

At the Triathlon Convention Europe 2018, we are laying strong emphasis on training and development as well as transfer of knowledge.
Once more, we have acquired experienced and highly qualified speakers for our seminars. They offer a wide range of triathlon topics, from nutritional subjects to mental and physiological training methods to practice seminars.
The seminars will answer all your questions and give you valuable content on how to improve your performance.
We are also happy to announce a cooperation with the DTU this year. Some of the seminars are recognized by the DTU, so trainers can collect points for their license renewal with the attendance of the seminars.

More than just watching.

Leading representatives from key industries come together to present the latest product innovations in the city of Langen, Germany.
In addition to the seminars offered, the Indoor Triathlon, the fourth edition of the 10k TCE run powered by TV Langen and further actions and active workshops are planned.
The partners and exhibitors offer services such as Seat Position Analysis (SPA) or Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA) at attractive discounted prices.
Participation in the seminars, the Indoor Triathlon and the TCE run powered by TV Langen will be subject to charges this year. Admission to the fair itself is free!

On February 23, 2018 at 04:00 pm we are excited to open the doors and welcome you to the “TCE-Triathlon Convention Europe 2018”. Enjoy your visit: experience interesting, active, sportive and fun hours at THE Triathlon-Show, which will be a first highlight of the new season.

Official opening

Our organizers and some “special guests” you might know from your favourite sport will welcome you with a few personal words. Then, we are jumping into three intense days: it is all about swimming, cycling and running.

Officially, this is the end of the first convention day. However, the party goes on at the pool: at 06:00 pm the “100 x 100 swim” has started and will not have been finished yet. Swim-enthusiasts will be completing and competing in swimming 10k. It will be worth watching!

Activation, mobilisation & technique – new aspects of running rules
The seminar provides practical training sets of muscle activation and mobilisation in order to perfectly prepare a running training unit. Directed exercises will activate weak muscle groups, so that typical injuries are prevented and the running technique is improved.

Endurance sport usually means a lot of sugar intake. Current studies show that sugar often is a burden for the body.
Most triathletes think that with they burn most of the sugar during sport, so there would be no danger – but thats wrong! Sugar can increase the risk of athrose or a heart attack.
It is important to spend some time thinking about the effect and consequences of eating too much sugar! Beate Rösch will do that in her workshop!

Longdistance Triathlon means swimming 3.8km, riding the bike for 180km and last but not least running a marathon. All that means it needs a lot of regeneration! The more you train, the less you have time to regenerate. The relation of strain and relief determines the improvement in perfomance and the injuries. As you see it is really important - so be sure to integrate the regeneration into your training schedule! Yoga for triathletes is a good kind of way to get that regeneration. Muscle relaxation, deep relaxation, stretching, the control of you breath and body perception helps you to train your body on regeneration.

The sporting performance in triathlon is depending on the volume of the aerobic capacity. This is determined by the condition and amount of mitochondria. The more mitochondria there are and the higher the enzymatic features are, the higher is the supply of energy by lipometabolism. The carb depot will be saved and remains available for intermediate and final sprints. The tutorial provides all possibilities how the mitochondrial capacity can be expanded by regulated nutrition. As a new, crucial factor the “sleep-low-principle”, which top-athletes and hobby sportspeople can implement easily, will be explained.

The TCE Run powered by TV Langen addresses ambitious runner and triathletes, who would like to check their physical condition at the beginning of the season, as well as hobby runner, who do not want to be all by themselves in the woods on Sunday morning.

Get ready for Sunday, Feb 25 from 10.00 am. The track is nice and flat and it is perfect to start off 2018’s season with your personal minimum time.

SWIM 100x100 - Are you tough enough?

We – well, actually it is you, your team and others – are going to swim 10k, equals 100 x 100 meters, equals 10,000 meters – in one evening. It is a training session celebrated as a special event, not requiring best times but fun and following one common goal.
